Winter Care
Cold winter winds can have a severe drying effect
on needled and broad-leaved evergreens in the landscape. The
most commonly visible sign of winter burn is brown, curled leaves
on hollies and rhododendrons. Many times the affected leaves
will drop in the spring and new ones will fill in. Unfortunately,
not all plants survive. To help prevent the loss of valuable
shrubs on your property have them treated with an application
of anti-transpirant in late fall and again in February. Contact
